Installation Guide

Always follow the latest TCNA Tile Installation Handbook and ANSI installation standards. Professional installation by an experienced licensed tile contractor is strongly recommended for natural stone mosaic products.

Recommended Substrates:

• Properly cured mortar beds meeting ANSI A108.1B.
• Cementitious backer units (CBU) meeting ANSI A118.9.
• Concrete slabs cured a minimum of 28 days.
• Gypsum board for dry interior applications only.
• Approved waterproof membranes are required behind cement backer board in wet areas.

Installation Guidelines:

• Measure the installation area carefully and purchase at least 10% additional material for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
• Inspect all sheets before installation and blend material from multiple boxes to achieve the most natural appearance.
• Natural stone should be sealed before grouting using a premium penetrating sealer.
• Use installation materials that meet or exceed current TCNA recommendations.
• Follow all manufacturer recommendations and current TCNA installation practices.

Grout Selection Notice:

Sanded grout and certain urethane grouts containing micro glass beads may scratch polished marble surfaces. Always verify grout compatibility with your tile installer or grout manufacturer before installation.

Cutting & Installation:
Cut mesh-mounted sheets from the back whenever possible. Individual marble pieces should be cut using a wet saw equipped with a premium diamond blade designed for natural stone.

Cleaning:
Remove excess grout immediately using a damp sponge during installation. After curing, polish away any remaining haze using a soft microfiber cloth. Clean routinely with a pH-neutral cleaner formulated specifically for natural stone.

Maintenance & Care:
Use only pH-neutral stone cleaners together with a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush. Avoid acidic cleaners, bleach, or abrasive cleaning pads. Periodically reseal the marble to help preserve its natural beauty and stain resistance.
