Recommended Substrates:

• Properly cured mortar beds meeting ANSI A108.1B (minimum 7-day cure).
• Cementitious backer units (CBU) meeting ANSI A118.9.
• Concrete slabs cured for a minimum of 28 days.
• Gypsum board in dry interior applications only (ASTM C1396).
• An ANSI A108A-2.1.8 membrane is required behind cement backer board installations in wet areas.
• Glass and blended material mosaics should be installed at least 8 inches away from open flames.

Installation Guidelines:

• Measure the installation area carefully and purchase at least 10% additional material to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
• Inspect all sheets before installation and verify acceptable color variation using material from multiple boxes.
• Because of the translucent nature of the glass pieces, use a high-quality white polymer-modified thin-set mortar.
• Seal the natural marble before grouting using a premium penetrating sealer following the sealer manufacturer's recommendations.
• Install mesh-mounted sheets over properly prepared substrates following current TCNA installation practices.

Cutting & Drilling:
Trim mosaic sheets from the back by cutting the mesh where possible. For cuts through individual marble or glass pieces, use a wet saw equipped with a premium diamond blade designed for glass and natural stone. When drilling through glass components, use a glass drill bit and keep the bit lubricated to minimize chipping.

Cleaning:
Remove excess grout promptly with a damp sponge during installation. After curing, polish away any remaining grout haze using a clean, dry cloth. Clean routinely using a pH-neutral cleaner suitable for natural stone and glass.

Maintenance & Care:
Clean with a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush and a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners that may damage the natural marble or reduce the appearance of the polished glass. Periodic sealing of the marble is recommended to help preserve its natural beauty.
