Installation Guide
Professional installation by an experienced tile contractor is recommended. Always follow the latest TCNA Tile Installation Handbook and applicable ANSI installation standards.
Recommended Substrates:
- Properly cured mortar beds meeting ANSI A108.1B.
- Cementitious backer units (CBU) meeting ANSI A118.9.
- Concrete slabs cured for a minimum of 28 days.
- Gypsum board in dry interior applications only.
- Install approved waterproof membranes behind wet area installations.
Installation Guidelines:
- Measure the installation area carefully and purchase at least 10% additional material to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
- Inspect all sheets before installation and blend material from multiple boxes to achieve the most natural appearance.
- Seal the natural marble before grouting using a premium penetrating sealer.
- Use white polymer-modified thin-set mortar suitable for natural stone installations.
- Use installation materials that meet or exceed current TCNA recommendations.
- Follow all manufacturer instructions and current TCNA installation practices.

Grout Selection:
Sanded grout and certain premixed urethane grouts containing micro glass beads may scratch some honed marble surfaces. Always verify grout compatibility with the grout manufacturer or stone supplier before installation and perform a test application when appropriate.
Cutting & Installation:
Trim mesh-mounted sheets from the back where possible using a utility knife. For cutting individual marble pieces, use a wet saw equipped with a premium diamond blade designed for natural stone. Press sheets firmly into the mortar using a rubber grout float to achieve complete coverage and proper adhesion.
Cleaning:
Remove excess grout promptly with a damp sponge during installation. After curing, polish away any remaining grout haze using a clean, dry cloth. Clean routinely using a pH-neutral cleaner formulated specifically for natural stone.
Maintenance & Care:
Clean regularly using a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush together with a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid acidic cleaners, bleach, vinegar, or abrasive cleaning products that may damage the honed finish. Periodic sealing is recommended to help preserve the natural beauty and provide long-term stain protection.
