Installation Recommendations

Recommended Substrates:

• Properly cured mortar beds meeting ANSI A108.1B.
• Cementitious backer units (CBU) meeting ANSI A118.9.
• Concrete slabs cured for a minimum of 28 days.
• Gypsum board in dry interior applications only.

Installation Guidelines:

• Waterproof membranes are required behind cement backer board in wet areas.
• Seal natural marble before grouting using a premium penetrating sealer.
• Use a high-quality white polymer-modified thin-set mortar for installation.
• Purchase at least 10% additional material for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
• Inspect all sheets before installation and blend material from multiple boxes to achieve the most natural appearance.

Cutting & Installation:
Trim mosaic sheets from the back by cutting the mesh where possible. For cuts through individual marble pieces, use a wet saw equipped with a premium diamond blade designed for natural stone. Use a rubber grout float to firmly press the sheets into the mortar for full coverage and proper adhesion.

Cleaning:
Clean excess grout promptly using a damp sponge during installation. After curing, remove any remaining grout haze with a clean, dry cloth. Clean regularly using only a pH-neutral cleaner designed for natural stone.

Maintenance & Care:
Maintain the polished finish by cleaning with a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush and a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft towel. Periodic sealing is recommended to help protect the marble and maintain its natural beauty.
