ProPanel is a lightweight waterproof insulated backer board manufactured from high-density expanded polystyrene, reinforced on both sides with alkaline-resistant fiberglass mesh and waterproof cementitious coating.

Built-In Waterproof Protection
Unlike traditional cement boards, ProPanel is fully waterproof and does not require liquid waterproofing over the entire board surface. Only seams and fastener penetrations require waterproof treatment using approved polyurethane sealant or liquid waterproofing membrane.
ProPanel has passed demanding industry testing standards including:
- ANSI A118.10 Section 4.5 waterproof testing
- ASTM D-4068 Annex A2 hydrostatic pressure testing
- ASTM G-21 & G-22 resistance to fungi and bacteria testing
