How to Use
Step 1 - Prepare the Material
Place the tile or slab on a solid, non-slip surface such as a wood or concrete plate. The original instructions call for water to be applied to the drilling area. For dry drilling, follow the manufacturer's recommended dry-drilling procedure and avoid using water unless specifically permitted for the application.
Step 2 - Start the Hole
Start drilling at approximately a 75-85 degree angle to allow the diamond bit to bite into the material. Drill to a depth of approximately 1-2 mm (1/16") to establish the opening.
Step 3 - Complete the Hole
Gradually bring the drill to a 90-degree position and use a controlled swinging motion to finish drilling the hole. Use very little pressure and allow the diamond bit to do the cutting. Do not force the drill straight down.
Step 4 - Remove Debris
After completing the hole, remove the drilling debris and clean the area before installing the required fixture or fitting.
Important: Follow appropriate drilling practices for the material being drilled and use suitable personal protective equipment.
Disclaimer: Wax coolant may darken the immediate area around a drilled hole when used on porous materials.
