Base Boost is recommended for primary color coats on properly prepared concrete surfaces and helps create a stronger bond while maintaining the stain's natural translucent appearance.

Smiths Color Floor stains provide a durable decorative finish while offering a safer and easier alternative to traditional acid-based concrete stains. Using advanced acrylic polymer technology and premium pigment preparation, these stains produce beautiful translucent color effects with excellent adhesion, UV resistance, and long-lasting durability.

Application Information

Smiths Color Floor can be applied using airbrush systems, HVLP sprayers, production guns, pump sprayers, sea sponges, or traditional bristle brushes. For best decorative results, apply a light mist coat to create natural movement and color variation across the surface.

Roller applications may force excess stain absorption and create visible application lines. Coverage and final appearance may vary depending on concrete porosity, surface texture, dilution ratio, and application technique.

Recommended Dilution

Mix 1 part concentrate with 4 parts of distilled, reverse osmosis or deionized water.

Compatibility

Smiths Color Floor stains are compatible with many solvent-based and water-based clear sealers including urethanes, acrylics, epoxies, and neutralized acid-based stains.

Not compatible with methyl methacrylate sealers or penetrating sodium silicate sealers.
