Engineered with a 400 lb load capacity, this floating corner shower bench creates comfortable seating without the need for complicated framing, wood blocking, or additional structural reinforcement.

Built from corrosion-resistant alloyed aluminum, the BB-24 installs quickly over approved wall substrates and can even be mounted after wall tile installation. Simply secure the bench using the included fasteners, fill with dry pack mortar, and tile to match your shower walls or bathroom design.

Installation Notes

The Better Bench BB-24 is designed for fast and efficient installation. Mount the bench using the included hardware, then fill the interior with dry pack mortar or deck mud before applying tile.

Important: Do not use thin-set mortar to fill the bench. A dry pack mortar mix with approximately 4 parts sand to 1 part cement is recommended.

For shower installations, slope the top mortar surface slightly toward the front edge to allow proper drainage. Once tiled, sealing the grout lines is recommended for long-term performance and moisture protection.

The bench mounts using supplied hollow wall anchors and does not require direct attachment to wood studs. If framing members are present, the included pan screws may also be used.

Waterproof Performance

The BB-24 is engineered to maintain waterproof integrity without requiring additional waterproofing membranes. Waterproofing is achieved by sealing screw penetrations with caulk during installation and applying a bead of sealant where the bench meets the wall surface.
