The Better Bench BB-30 Triangular Shower Bench is a large ready-to-tile corner bench designed for custom tile showers, steam showers, spa bathrooms, and modern bathroom remodels. Engineered with a 400 lb load capacity, this floating shower bench delivers strong, reliable seating without requiring complicated framing, wood blocking, or additional structural reinforcement.

Manufactured from corrosion-resistant alloyed aluminum, the BB-30 installs quickly over approved wall substrates and can be mounted either before or after wall tile installation. Once installed, simply fill the bench with dry pack mortar and tile to match the surrounding shower walls and bathroom tile design.

The spacious triangular design provides comfortable seating while maximizing corner space inside walk-in showers and wet rooms. Ideal for residential and commercial tile installations where durability, waterproof performance, and a clean built-in appearance are important.

Installation Notes

The Better Bench BB-30 installs quickly using the supplied mounting hardware. After securing the bench to the wall, fill the interior with dry pack mortar or deck mud before applying tile.

Important: Do not use thin-set mortar to fill the bench. A dry pack mortar mixture using approximately 4 parts sand to 1 part cement is recommended.

For shower applications, create a slight slope toward the front edge to promote proper drainage. Once tiled, grout sealing is recommended to help maintain long-term moisture protection and performance.

The BB-30 is engineered to support weight using the included hollow wall anchors and does not require direct attachment to wood studs. If framing members are encountered during installation, the supplied screws may also be used.

Waterproof Performance

The BB-30 is designed to maintain waterproof integrity without requiring additional waterproofing membranes. Waterproofing is achieved by applying sealant at screw penetrations and along the upper edge where the bench meets the wall surface.
