Benefits
Composeal Gray Gold combines sound reduction, crack isolation, and waterproofing into a single membrane system. The membrane helps reduce sound transmission between occupied spaces while protecting tile and stone installations from common shrinkage cracks and moisture-related damage.
Its flexible construction allows it to absorb substrate movement while maintaining a durable waterproof barrier beneath the finished flooring system. This makes it an ideal solution for both new construction and remodeling projects where performance and longevity are essential.

Installation Information
Composeal Gray Gold is designed for direct bond tile and stone installations using thin-set mortar and solvent-welded seams. The membrane can be used in both new construction and renovation projects requiring sound control, waterproofing, and crack suppression.
When used in waterproof applications such as showers, bathrooms, kitchens, and wet areas, plywood substrates must first be covered with cement backer board or reinforced mortar beds before installation.
Composeal Gray Gold should not be used with asphalt-based or bituminous products.
Sound Control Capability
Composeal Gray Gold provides excellent sound reduction performance while adding minimal height and weight to the finished flooring assembly. It is particularly well suited for upper-floor tile installations, condominiums, apartments, hotels, and commercial environments where sound transmission control is important.
Crack Isolation Protection
Independent laboratory testing supervised by the Ceramic Tile Institute of Los Angeles confirmed superior crack suppression performance under load-bearing tile installations. The membrane helps protect finished tile surfaces from common substrate movement and shrinkage cracks.
Waterproofing Performance
The integrated PVC waterproofing layer helps prevent water penetration and moisture migration in showers, bathrooms, kitchens, steam rooms, and other wet-area tile installations.
Warranty Information
Composeal membranes are warranted against membrane failure and are designed to provide long-term performance for the life of the building when properly installed. Warranty coverage applies to the membrane itself and does not extend to installation methods or consequential damages.
