Automatic Snow and Ice Detection Controller for ProMelt Systems
The SunTouch DS-2C Rain and Snow Sensor Controller is a fully integrated automatic snow melting controller designed to detect precipitation and freezing conditions while activating electric or hydronic snow melting systems only when needed.
With a built-in precipitation sensor and powerful 30A switching capacity, the DS-2C helps reduce energy usage while keeping driveways, walkways, ramps, and outdoor surfaces clear of snow and ice.

Smart Automatic Operation
The DS-2C automatically activates connected snow melting systems when moisture and freezing temperatures are detected. Once snowfall stops, the adjustable delay-off cycle keeps the system running long enough to dry the surface and help prevent re-freezing.
This automatic operation helps improve safety while minimizing unnecessary energy consumption.
Installation and Wiring
The DS-2C controller includes pre-installed wiring pigtails for fast installation. The unit may be mounted directly to rigid 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch conduit or secured using the integrated mounting tabs.
Voltage operation is field selectable for both 100-120VAC and 200-240VAC systems using internal jumper settings.
