TileWare Structural Surfaces™ 18" Plate with Bonded Fleece - Floating Seat Component
IMPORTANT: This structural support plate is compatible with marble, travertine, quartz, granite, porcelain, and other slab materials. It is not limited to TileWare products and may be used with a variety of floating shower seat applications.

The TileWare Structural Surfaces™ 18" Support Plate with Bonded Fleece is engineered to provide exceptional reinforcement and structural stability for floating shower seat installations. Manufactured from durable lightweight aluminum, this support plate is designed specifically for stone, marble, travertine, porcelain, quartz, and other slab seating materials used in tiled shower environments.
The integrated non-woven bonded fleece backing allows secure adhesion using thinset mortar, creating a reliable and long-lasting bond between the support plate and 2cm or 3cm slab shower seats.
Unlike traditional unsupported stone seating installations, this reinforced aluminum plate helps strengthen slab materials containing natural fissures, hairline fractures, or weak points while dramatically reducing the risk of accidental breakage.
This ADA-compliant inspired solution combines lightweight construction with exceptional structural strength, making it ideal for both residential and commercial floating shower seat applications.
When paired with an optional anchor flange system, the installation can also help compensate for out-of-square wall construction while improving support and water management performance.
