Installation Two Substrate Layers
1. Draw level pencil line on outside substrate layer.
2. Place bottom of niche centered on the line and trace outline of niche back.
3. Cut through both layers along line and remove panel.
4. Place niche into opening and trace exterior flange.
5. Remove niche, cut through outside layer only and remove “picture frame” outline.
6. Set in place using Latex Polymer Liquid Waterproof Membrane.
Installation One Substrate Layer
1. Draw level pencil line on outside substrate layer.
2. Place niche with the bottom flange of the box centered on the level line.
3. Trace exterior flanges.
4. Cut along line and remove panel.
5. Caulk to cross bracing studs using Latex Polymer Liquid Waterproof Membrane.
Installation: New Construction
1. Position Niche and mark the top and bottom of the flange between two studs (located 16” O.C.)
2. Nail two horizontal braces between vertical studs.
3. Caulk to cross bracing studs using latex Polymer Liquid Waterproof Membrane
4. Install waterproof membrane behind the backer board. Install cement backer board around and butt to the niche.
5. Cover the joint and seal all edges between the niche and the backer board with fiberglass mesh embedded in latex polymer liquid waterproof membrane
Allow latex polymer liquid waterproof membrane to cure “dry to the touch” before installing ceramic tile and marble shelving

The rough opening are 12″ so you should go with the 306

On the Preformed 304 Wide Combo. I need one shelf to handle 12″ bottles. One picture looks like one shelf is taller than the other but the line drawing of 304 looks like it is only equal. Do I get that or the 306 and a shelf an adjust it myself?
