Installation Guide

Professional installation by an experienced tile contractor is recommended. Always follow the latest TCNA Tile Installation Handbook and applicable ANSI installation standards.

Recommended Substrates:

• Properly cured mortar beds meeting ANSI A108.1B.
• Cementitious backer units (CBU) meeting ANSI A118.9.
• Concrete slabs cured for a minimum of 28 days.
• Gypsum board in dry interior applications only.
• Approved waterproof membranes are required behind cement backer board in wet areas.
• Maintain a minimum distance of 8 inches between the installation and any open flame or direct heat source.

Installation Guidelines:

• Measure the installation area carefully and purchase at least 10% additional material for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
• Inspect all sheets before installation and blend material from multiple boxes to achieve the most natural appearance.
• Use installation materials that meet or exceed current TCNA recommendations.
• Use a premium white polymer-modified thin-set mortar suitable for natural stone installations.

Grout Selection:

Sanded grout and certain premixed urethane grouts containing micro glass beads may scratch polished marble or metal surfaces. Always verify grout compatibility with the grout manufacturer or tile supplier before installation and perform a test application when appropriate.

Cutting & Installation:
Cut mesh-mounted sheets from the back where possible. For cutting individual marble or stainless steel pieces, use a wet saw equipped with an appropriate premium diamond blade. Handle polished metal surfaces carefully to prevent scratching during installation.

Cleaning:
Remove excess grout promptly using a damp sponge during installation. After curing, polish away any remaining grout haze using a clean microfiber cloth. Clean regularly with a pH-neutral cleaner formulated for natural stone and stainless steel.

Maintenance & Care:
Clean using only pH-neutral cleaners together with a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach, acidic cleaners, or harsh chemicals that could damage the polished marble or stainless steel finish.
