These are pretty neat devices. They ensure that your niche space is going to look just like you expect without your contractor (or you) having to construct the shelves. We used these narrow ones because we weren't lucky enough for full stud spacing. We put three in our standard bathtub space on the longest wall. We put the two on the ends at "shower" height with the big opening up and we put the center one lower down with the big opening down for wine glasses while taking bubble baths. :)
