Step 1 uses the HP1200 honing pad. The HP1200 honing pad is for areas of severe etching or wear.
Condition that require this step are :
Only IF:
1. The damaged area is rough to the touch.
2. The damage is caused by acidic cleaners or acidic liquids such as wine or vinegar (etching).
3. The areas is very dull caused by excessive wear.
Use the grey side of the HP1200 pad to wet sand (with water) applying 25-50 strokes over the affected area. Clean well with stone Cleaner and sponge then wipe dry. The HP1200smoothes the damages or heavily worn stone and prepares the surface for use of Polishing Creme #1.
Step 2
Shake the bottle before dispensing
Apply Marble Polishing Creme #1 to defective area ( area of etch mark, water mark or dullness).
Spread and vigorously rub Marble Polishing Creme #1 on the defective area with white pad marked #1 firmly attached to the plastic pad holder.
Clean the Creme off the stone immediately using the Stone Cleaner and sponge, then wipe dry. Inspect stone surface for the effect of treatment on the surface defect. For the moment ignore any new haze or film that may have appeared on the stone. Repeat step 2 if surface defect has not been adequately removed.
Shake the bottle before dispensing

Spread and vigorously rub the Marble Polishing Creme #2 using the white pad marked #2 firmly attached to the plastic pad holder.
Clean Creme #2 off the stone using Stone Cleaner and sponge, then wipe dry
