INVISABOLT™ floating bench mounting system designed for Better-Bench shower bench installations.

The Better-Bench InvisaBolt™ Support System is designed to create a clean floating bench appearance while providing additional structural support for selected Better-Bench shower bench installations.

This concealed support system is compatible with BB-ADJR adjustable benches and BB-R26 bench installations where additional support may be required depending on mounting configuration.

Better-Bench Load Capacity

• 400 lb engineered load capacity on Better-Bench products

Support Requirements for BB-R26

• Three-wall installations require no additional support
• Two-wall installations with one open side require one BT-17S or one InvisaBolt support
• Free-floating installations require two InvisaBolt supports with minimum 4x6 wood blocking

Support Requirements for BB-ADJR

• Wall-to-wall installations up to 36" require no additional support
• Wall-to-wall installations up to 63" require additional BT-17S or InvisaBolt supports
• Open-end and floating installations require multiple InvisaBolt supports depending on span length

Installation Requirements

• Minimum 4x6 structural wood blocking required for InvisaBolt installations
• Wood blocking must be flush with stud faces before substrate installation
• Suitable for U.B.C. approved tile substrates
• Compatible with cement board, mortar bed, foam board, and waterproof systems

How to Install the InvisaBolt System

• Install minimum 4x6 structural wood blocking before substrate installation
• Expand adjustable bench to required width
• Locate InvisaBolt mounting locations
• Drill mounting holes into blocking
• Install InvisaBolt supports and tighten carefully
• Mount bench and fill using dry pack mortar
• Tile and finish installation as desired

Important: Do not use thin-set mortar to fill Better-Bench products. Use dry pack deck mortar or approved mortar mix only.

Yes. Better-Bench products are engineered for a 400 lb live load capacity when properly installed.

Does the system require waterproofing?
No additional waterproofing membrane is required when installed according to manufacturer instructions.

Can the adjustable bench be cut down?
Yes. The adjustable bench can be trimmed to smaller sizes using a metal cutting blade.

Can Better-Bench products be installed over finished tile?
Yes. Better-Bench systems can be mounted directly over finished tile surfaces or directly to approved substrates.
