System Overview:
HeatMatrix is a flexible underlayment that combines uncoupling, waterproofing, and vapor management in a single system. It helps prevent tile cracking caused by subfloor movement while protecting against moisture and water vapor.
Key Features:
- Uncoupling protection reduces stress from subfloor movement
- Waterproof and vapor management design
- Flexible material for fast and easy installation
- Low memory for easier roll-out and flatter installation
- Compatible with modified thinset mortar
- Durable and lightweight construction
- Works with WarmWire and other electric floor heating cables
Heating Performance Options:
- 2" and 3" spacing: 14.8 W/sq ft
- 3" spacing (standard): 12.3 W/sq ft
- 3" and 4" spacing: 10.6 W/sq ft
Installation Flexibility:
Cable spacing can be adjusted to match heating needs. Use tighter spacing (2" to 3") for high heat loss areas and wider spacing (3" to 4") for lower heat loss areas.
Applications:
- Tile, stone, or laminate flooring installations
- Concrete and structurally sound subfloors
- Residential and commercial applications
- Wet areas when properly sealed with joint strips
Installation Overview:
- Press heating wire into the pre-formed channels
- Embed cable using polymer-modified thinset mortar
- Install finished flooring over the system
Coverage Calculation:
Measure total floor area and subtract non-heated spaces to determine required square footage.
