Modern Stone Release is a fast-drying water-based penetrating sealer specifically formulated to protect natural stone, tile, and masonry surfaces before grouting. Designed to simplify installation and cleanup, Release helps reduce grout staining and residue while making grout removal easier during the grouting process.

Ideal for residential and commercial tile and stone installations, this professional-grade pre-grouting sealer penetrates porous surfaces to provide temporary protection during installation without altering the natural appearance of the material. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, Release helps installers achieve cleaner grout lines and a more efficient cleanup process.

Application Instructions

• Sweep or vacuum the surface to remove loose debris.
• Apply Release liberally using a paint pad, roller, brush, lambswool applicator, or low-pressure chemical sprayer.
• Distribute evenly across the entire surface for consistent coverage.
• Do not allow excess sealer to dry on the surface.
• Allow the sealer to dwell for up to 20 minutes or until it begins to dry.
• Remove excess material using clean towels or a cotton bonnet pad.
• Allow a minimum cure time of 2 hours before grouting.
• During grouting, do not allow excess grout to completely dry before cleanup.
• Clean application tools with water.

Coverage: Approximately 200 to 1,000 square feet per gallon. Coverage will vary depending on surface porosity, absorbency, temperature, and application method.

Handling and Storage

Close container after each use. Store only in the original container in a dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid freezing temperatures and prolonged exposure to excessive heat. Keep away from heat, sparks, flames, and ignition sources. Do not thin or dilute.

Caution

Avoid contact with eyes. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with water for 15 minutes. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Wash exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Contact a poison control center and seek immediate medical attention.
