Simple Dial-Controlled Floor Heating
The NG110 provides straightforward manual control of an electric floor heating system. Turn the dial to adjust the desired floor temperature, and the thermostat automatically activates or deactivates the heating system as needed to maintain the selected temperature.
Unlike programmable Nuheat thermostats, the MatComfort Regulator does not require a heating schedule. It is designed for applications where simple, direct temperature adjustment is preferred.
Floor Temperature Control
The NG110 uses an external floor temperature sensor to monitor the temperature of the heated floor. The thermostat activates the heating system when the measured floor temperature is below the selected temperature and stops heating when the desired temperature is reached.
The floor sensor also provides temperature feedback to the thermostat so the heating system can maintain the selected floor temperature.
Built-In Class A GFCI Protection
The NG110 includes Class A 5mA GFCI protection designed to help protect against electrical ground faults. The thermostat includes a dedicated TEST function for checking the GFCI operation.
During a successful GFCI test, the GFCI warning indicator illuminates and power to the heating load is interrupted. After testing, the thermostat can be returned to normal operation using the appropriate controls.

Manual Temperature Adjustment
The NG110 is designed for users who prefer simple manual control rather than a programmable heating schedule. The temperature can be adjusted directly using the thermostat's dial, allowing the floor heating system to be set to the desired comfort level.
The thermostat automatically controls the heating output according to the selected temperature and the temperature measured by the floor sensor.
Heating Indicator
The thermostat includes a heating indicator that shows when the heating system is calling for heat. When the selected floor temperature is higher than the measured floor temperature, the thermostat activates the heating output and the heating indicator is displayed.
When the desired temperature is reached, the thermostat stops the heating output until additional heat is required.
GFCI Testing
The NG110 includes a built-in Class A 5mA GFCI and dedicated TEST function. Nuheat's installation instructions specify adjusting the thermostat until the heating indicator is active and then pressing TEST to verify that the GFCI warning indicator illuminates and power to the heating load is interrupted.
If the GFCI test does not operate correctly, the installation, load wiring, and thermostat heating mode should be checked before testing again.
Installation Information
The NG110 is designed for indoor installation with 120VAC electric floor-warming systems. The connected resistive heating load must not exceed 15A or 1,800W at 120VAC.
The thermostat's built-in GFCI requires the line and load connections to remain properly isolated for correct operation. The floor temperature sensor should be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions and positioned within the heated floor area.
All wiring and connections must comply with applicable national and local electrical codes. Because this thermostat connects directly to line voltage, installation should be performed by a qualified electrician.
Recommended Applications
The NG110 is designed for indoor electric floor heating applications where simple, manual floor temperature control is desired. It can be used with electric radiant floor heating systems in residential areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and other areas with heated floors.
The simple dial design makes the NG110 particularly suitable for installations where programmable scheduling is not required and straightforward temperature adjustment is preferred.
Important Installation Information
Review the complete installation and operating instructions before installing or operating the thermostat. Verify the electrical supply, heating load, wiring, and floor sensor requirements before installation.
The NG110 is rated for a maximum resistive load of 15A or 1,800W at 120VAC. The thermostat is designed for 120VAC applications and should not be connected to a different voltage supply.
Because the NG110 involves line-voltage electrical connections and built-in GFCI protection, installation and electrical testing should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable local electrical codes and requirements.
