In-Slab Snow and Ice Detection Sensor for Automatic Snow Melting Systems
The ProMelt PM-090 Snow and Ice Sensor is an in-slab snow detection sensor designed to provide fully automatic operation of snow melting systems. Installed directly within the slab surface, the PM-090 detects both moisture and temperature conditions to activate heating only when snow or ice is present.
This intelligent operation improves energy efficiency, reduces operating costs, and helps maintain safer outdoor surfaces during winter conditions.
Automatic Snow and Ice Detection
The PM-090 continuously monitors slab moisture and temperature conditions. When snow or ice is detected, the sensor signals the connected control system to activate the snow melting system while also providing slab temperature feedback for optimized operation.
Flush In-Slab Installation
The PM-090 is installed flush within the slab using the ProMelt Sensor Socket PM-091 after the slab surface has been completed. This installation method provides long-term sensor protection while maintaining accurate environmental sensing.
