Description

Raimondi Rai Bit - Humid Diamond Drill Bit

Diamond drill bits for wet drilling in porcelain, ceramic, granite, marble, glass tile and PVC.

The Raimondi Rai Bit - Humid diamond drill bit is designed for drilling clean holes in hard tile and other compatible materials. Its electroplated diamond cutting surface is intended for wet use, helping provide long service life when used with sufficient water and without excessive pressure.

Available in multiple diameters, this drill bit line offers options for different hole sizes in tile installation and other suitable drilling applications. Select the diameter you need from the available size options.

Features and Benefits

  • Electroplated diamond cutting surface
  • Designed for wet use only
  • Suitable for porcelain, ceramic, granite, marble, glass tile and PVC
  • For use with cordless or standard drills
  • Recommended drill speed: 800-2,500 RPM
  • 3/8-inch shaft attachment
  • 7/8-inch drilling depth, according to the product brochure
  • Long service life when used wet and without excessive pressure or strain

How to Use

Step 1: Prepare the surface

Mark the location of the hole. Place the tile on a stable, non-slip surface and wet the area where the hole will be drilled using a spray bottle.

Step 2: Start drilling at an angle

Begin drilling at a slight angle against the marked circle to establish the cut in the tile.

Step 3: Straighten the drill and continue

Once the cut has started, gradually bring the drill to a 90-degree angle. Apply progressive, light pressure while continuously spraying water to keep the bit and drilling area wet. Avoid excessive pressure or strain.

Step 4: Remove the cutout

When the hole is complete, stop the drill and remove the cutout. The manufacturer brochure states that a removal pin is provided with the bit; confirm inclusion for your selected size before relying on this accessory.

Important: This diamond drill bit is for wet use only. Keep the bit and tile wet throughout drilling. Do not operate it dry.
