Installation Recommendation:
Install the Boundless Overhang Trim first, then cut and fit the field tile around the installed trim. Apply thin-set or mortar where the trim will sit using a 1/4" x 3/8" notched trowel, maximum notch size.
Installing the trim first allows the field tile to be incised and fitted around the trim for a smaller reveal. If the back-wall tile is installed first and the trim is installed over it, the reveal will be larger by approximately the thickness of the tile.
Continue installing the side, top, and bottom niche tiles, fitting them against the trim. Use the provided wedge spacers to maintain a 1/32" margin between trim components.
After all components are properly set, grout the installation. For installations using a standard preformed niche box, grout is sufficient and 100% silicone caulk is not required. For a custom niche where the substrate is connected to the wood structure with fasteners, use 100% silicone as required by the manufacturer's installation instructions.
Important: Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions for proper trim positioning, spacing, adhesive application, and tile fitting.
