The Recess-It Rectangle Ready to Tile Shower Niche by Innovis is a large recessed shower storage niche designed for tile showers, steam showers, bathroom walls, and wet room installations. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant alloyed aluminum with an elastomeric waterproofing and anti-fracture coating, this ready-to-tile niche provides durable built-in shower storage with a clean modern appearance.
This 14" x 22" recessed shower niche includes a floating shelf, allowing you to create organized storage for shampoo bottles, soap, razors, and shower accessories while maximizing usable shower space. The floating shelf integrates seamlessly within tile grout joints for a professional built-in look.
Designed for use with ceramic tile, porcelain tile, marble, granite, and natural stone, the Recess-It niche installs quickly using the supplied wall fasteners and does not require complicated framing or additional waterproofing membranes.

Installation Notes
The Recess-It niche is designed for installation over approved tile substrates and may be installed with or without wood blocking. A bead of caulk should be applied behind the mounting flange during installation to create a waterproof seal between the niche and substrate.
The integrated waterproof flange may slightly raise the surrounding tile surface if not feathered properly. Installers may feather surrounding thin-set or recess the substrate slightly for a flush tile appearance.
The preset slope on the niche bottom helps direct moisture away from the wall cavity and reduces the risk of mold or mildew development inside the niche.
Waterproof Performance
Recess-It niches feature a structural aluminum shell combined with a waterproof elastomeric coating to help prevent moisture penetration. The positive slope design and non-organic materials help reduce moisture retention and eliminate direct wood-to-unit contact inside wall cavities.
Floating Shelf Included
The included Floating Shelf is a perforated aluminum reinforcement shelf designed to support tiled shelving within the niche. The shelf aligns within tile grout joints for a seamless custom appearance while providing additional storage and organization inside the shower niche.
