Unlike standard fixed-size niches, the adjustable design allows the finished opening to be customized during installation, making it easier to align with tile layouts and create a clean, professional appearance.
Manufactured from corrosion-resistant alloyed aluminum with an elastomeric waterproofing and anti-fracture coating, this ready-to-tile niche provides long-lasting performance in wet environments. The straight flange design offers a clean installation profile while the integrated positive drainage slope helps direct water away from the wall cavity.

Installation Notes
The Recess-It Adjustable Shower Niche is designed for installation over approved tile substrates and may be installed with or without wood blocking. Apply a continuous bead of caulk behind the mounting flange during installation to create a waterproof seal between the niche and the substrate.
The integrated waterproof flange may slightly raise the surrounding tile surface if not feathered properly. For the best finished appearance, feather the surrounding thin-set or recess the substrate slightly to achieve a flush tile installation.
The preset positive slope on the bottom of the niche helps direct moisture toward the shower, reducing water retention and helping protect the wall cavity.
Waterproof Performance
Recess-It Adjustable Shower Niches combine a structural aluminum shell with a waterproof elastomeric coating to help resist moisture penetration. The non-organic construction will not rot, rust, or support mold growth, making it an excellent long-term solution for tiled shower installations.
